Ember review!

Ember will definitely leave you in flames!

Ember is the latest in the Men of Inked: Heatwave series and let me tell you this is one of the best in the series!!

here is the official Blurb:

Rocco Caldo is tall, dark, and handsome, but not interested in love. Loyal to a fault, he can’t turn away an old friend in need or a beautiful woman on the run…especially when they have unfinished business.

Rebel Bishop is a single mom, looking for shelter, not a handout. But when her path crosses with an old flame, they uncover an ember of passion that’s been smoldering inside them both for over a decade.

Can they move beyond their tragic pasts, allowing the flame to burn bright into their future?

So if you’ve read this series then you know the previous book left off with a cliff hanger. well let me tell you this book start’s a little before the event’s of the cliff hanger in the previous book and answer’s all of our questions.

Based off a horrible accident Rocco has sworn off love. He doesn’t want to be put in a position to feel the abyss of losing a loved one. But Rocco might not have a choice if Rebel has anything to say about it.

Ever since that night Rebel has been in a spiral of sorts. Left to believe everyone leaves her she’s hopped from relationship to relationship. But after her current boyfriend laid a hand on her she knew it was time to leave for the sake of her 5 year old daughter.

She has no-one to turn to except for the brother of the man that couldve been but never was. Over Rocco’s dead body is he going to let his brother be the knight in shining armor.

What was supposed to be a temporary arrangement of letting a friend stay at an empty cabin turns out to be much more when thing’s take a turn for the worse.

Rocco is great! he so far is my favorite hero of the Heatwave character’s. i loved the connection he had with his mom but especially with his dad. i loved that chelle made a point to point out that while Rocco is this alpha male he also isn’t afraid to show affection not only to his mom but to his dad and his brother.

Rebel is great and doesn’t take any shit. she’s exactly what Rocco need’s and vice versa. She’s sassy and isn’t afraid to put anyone in their place. She’s a little lost from past life experiences but Rocco is there to help her out and show her that not everyone leaves.

now that all being said i wished some things could’ve been changed or added or gone in more depth to the book and maybe they’ll get a second book later down the line. I wished and initially thought that Rebel’s kid would’ve been Rocco’s child. based off of where the book started i think most people would have that assumption and maybe that was deliberate on Chelle’s part. Another thing is that it was made mention that while Rocco was going through a dark time he turned to his dad and his predilection for BDSM. i would’ve loved for them to deep dive more into that but alas that is just a blogger’s wish.

like i said Ember is probably the best in the series yet and i can’t wait for Singe which is Rocco’s twin brothers book!!

Pick up Ember where ever E-books are sold!!
