Misadventures in a Threesome review!!

Twos company but three? That’s a party!

Maddox and Wilder are best friends having known each other for a long time. Growing together and even opening their own gym up together. After buying the space next to their gym and having it sit empty for months due to Maddox’s indecision, Wilder has decided to take matters into his own hands, literally with a sledgehammer.

With construction set to begin in the next couple weeks it’s time to start hiring trainers for the new classes that they are going to offer. In comes Jaz, she’s highly certified and but lacks the experience of teaching classes. What does she have to lose by interviewing? Nothing.

What starts out as an easy camaraderie with the boys. that then turned into a great friendship between the three of them over a natural progression of time which Elizabeth Hayley does well in the book with. A friendship turns into more with all three of them feeling attracted to one another. After a steamy and drunkin night at the club both men realize the other has the hots for Jaz and Jaz can’t deny she has feelings for the both of them.

After Suggesting dating as a threesome doesn’t go as well as Jaz planned the guys eventually come around to the idea. But will the idea of being a Throuple be too taboo for them in the long run or will the idea of public criticism destroy this budding romance before it even fully blooms? Well you’ll have to read the book to find out!

What was really unique in this book that is very refreshing is the fact that this threesome mentality wasn’t something already established between the men. Usually when there’s a threesome in a book it’s either a couple bringing a person into the bedroom as a one time thing Or the men have already done threesomes and are okay with it and looking for that special girl. Thats not so for this book. Neither men have been in a threesome or have had a threesome in fact it’s Jaz who suggests the very idea in order to save from someone having hurt feelings.

You see throughout the book how these three people deal with this new and unusual relationship and essentially the beginning of a threesome relationship. It was interesting to see for sure and I loved how Elizabeth Hayley managed it. I would’ve loved to see the thought process and how Jaz was thinking and feeling as she was going through the options of how to have a relationship with one without hurting the other and at what point when she initially thought yes a threesome is the only way this could work did she become okay with it.

I will say the most touching scene in the book is a flash back to when Maddox and Wilder first met and how they met. It brought a tear to my eye.

My only gripe against the book is that there’s a scene that goes from a night in the club to a dream. It takes you a page or page and a half to figure out that it’s a dream and that you’re not missing a page or content wasn’t cut out. I wish there was some type of transition there to let the reader know that you are not in fact going crazy and you did not get shorted a page by accident.
